Image presentation information:
- Title:
- A random selection of images
- Description:
- I am a reportage photographer/photo-journalist whose photographic career started over 20 years ago photographing conflicts around the world for publications like The Sunday Times, The Independent, Life Magazine, National Geographic, Stern and Geo.
During that time I have photographed events in Afghanistan, Haiti, Sudan, Tibet, and the UK, to mention just a few places. Among them, the 'Sibar' harvest festival and wrestling championships of the Nuba tribe in Southern Sudan; starving children receiving aid from Save The Children (UK) in Africa; Buddhists pilgrims crawling their way towards Lhasa, Tibet; men and women possessed during voodoo pilgrimage to the Plaine du Nord in Haiti; fox, deer or growl hunting in the British country-side.
I love the challenge of telling a story with pictures; and there is a curiosity about the world that needs to be satisfied. There are the people that you meet – the friends you make. It's a passion about photography.
My style of photography is reportage based story-telling, capturing the essence of the story; creating pictures that capture precious moments of history, for current and future generations. - Captions:

- "I try to capture the single moments that can tell the story of a whole life."
- "I don't have time to compose pictures; I just have to know when they have composed themselves."
- "To bring events to life, it must be as if I am not there."
